About the role
The Individual Life Reinsurance team seeks a dynamic and client-focused AVP & Marketing Actuary to drive new business pricing initiatives. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and clients to deliver innovative, data-driven reinsurance solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage existing and build new relationships with clients.
- Drive innovative, client-focused reinsurance solutions by anticipating market trends and client needs.
- Support commercial engagements by translating client challenges into actionable actuarial and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to execute strategic pricing and growth initiatives.
- Work with pricing teams in both strategic and technical capacities to set rates.
- Apply product and pricing expertise to structure competitive and profitable reinsurance deals.
- Leverage data and analytics to generate insights and improve decision-making.
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives to enhance delivery efficiency and coordination.
- Mentor and lead a team of junior actuaries and contribute to team development.
- Develop thought leadership for Munich Re and participate in industry events.
Requirements
- FSA designation with strong actuarial foundation.
- 8+ years of experience in life insurance or reinsurance.
- Demonstrated experience in pricing and product development preferred.
- Well-developed understanding of actuarial assumptions.
- Strong business acumen with ability to translate market needs into solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience with client engagement preferred.
- Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative, high-performance environments.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in Actuarial Science or related field.
- CPA or CFA designation preferred.

Pay
The base salary range anticipated for this position is $262,000 to $289,000, plus an opportunity for an annual company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay.
