About the role
Lead all finance activities for the eight Watch Maisons (Vacheron, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Panerai, A. Lange & Sohne, Piaget, Roger Dubuis and Watchfinder), within Richemont Americas. The role is responsible for supporting business development and driving financial performance while ensuring compliance, a strong internal control environment and alignment with brand Headquarters and Group directives and local regulations. This position is a strategic business partner to the Watch Maisons Presidents and to Americas business through collaborative relationships with the brand teams locally and centrally and the Americas region functional teams. The role is based in New York City to create proximity to the Watch brand Presidents, allowing for business partnership, agility, and faster decision-making. This role reports to the VP of FP&A for Richemont Americas and oversees a team of four FP&A analysts.
Responsibilities
- Team leadership
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of four financial analysts, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and accountability.
- Strategically assign tasks, drive their professional growth, and ensure the delivery of accurate, insightful, and timely financial analysis that supports strategic decision-making.
- Financial Planning & Analysis
- Manage the monthly close process through team supervision, collaboration with business partners, safeguarding deadlines, ensuring accurate financial results, monitoring phasing, and reviewing trends.
- Monitor sales evolution and trends as well as understand key drivers.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of financial models to forecast future performance, including revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow, considering various scenarios and market conditions.
- Guide and support the team to work closely with brand personnel to drive the rolling forecast, latest estimate and annual budget processes to ensure timely and accurate submissions, including detailed workpapers and commentary.
- Ensure consistency in best practices across brands and support the brands during annual strategic plan presentations.
- Provide timely variance analysis to business partners, highlighting potential risks and opportunities and understanding main trends across brands.
- Manage and distribute consolidated month-end reports with insightful commentary, consistently refining reporting to address brand management's evolving requirements.
- Monitor headcount and liaise with the HR and FP&A teams to drive personnel cost controlling and accurate reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
- Support business development activities and control fixed costs to optimize the region’s profit and cash flow.
- Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) Management
- Oversee capital approval requests (CAR), including detailed P&Ls, supporting commentary, and relevant comparatives to brand KPIs.
- Provide guidance on appropriate policies and forms, as well as insight on P&L specifics based on brand and/or regional CAPEX, sales, personnel and profitability metrics.
- Guide collaboration across all key stakeholders, including local and central brand teams, commercial, finance, store planning, construction, real estate and accounting partners.
- Monitor CAPEX spending by project vs. budget and related CAR; support collaboration amongst brand and functional teams for transparency and reconciliation, to identify and communicate potential issues.
- Operational Support & Internal Controls
- Direct internal controls process and requirements for the Watch brands to ensure compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations.
- Drive a strong internal control environment, with appropriate risk mitigation, including communication to brands, monthly reviews, and follow-up to ensure compliance, as well as meaningful feedback on control documentation.
- Ensure compliance aspects are respected in all financial activities.
- Manage ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support the broader finance team as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other relevant field.
- 10 to 15 years of FP&A experience, preferably in a large, multinational, publicly traded company environment.
- Experience managing and developing a team of varying skill levels.
- Luxury and/or retail company experience a plus.
Skills
- Deep background in finance and accounting principles, particularly IFRS.
- Strong business acumen and ability to exercise sound judgment in all situations.
- Technology proficiency and a forward-looking mindset, with a strong ability to leverage digital tools and drive automation in financial processes and reporting to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and provide advanced insights.
- Experience with SAP and Anaplan a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of MS-Excel, SAP Business Objects Analysis, PowerPoint, Looker/GCP and Power BI.
- Exceptional analytical skills and ability to interpret qualitative as well as quantitative information.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work with all levels and functions within the organization, adapting communications and deliverables to diverse audiences in a matrixed organization.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, results oriented, ability to deal with ambiguity and manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Pay
Expected salary range: $200,000–230,000. Salary will be determined based on relevant skills and experience.
