About the Role
FP Movement is looking for a Senior Buyer to lead the strategy for our growing movement accessories business. In this role, you will be responsible for creating an exciting and timely product assortment for retail, direct, and wholesale businesses that meet or exceed sales volume and profit goals. The Senior Buyer will aid in the concept, creation, and trend evolution of our movement accessories category.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team to exceed sales and profit plans for retail, direct, and wholesale business.
- Build collaborative relationships between design, production, merchandising, planning, allocation, and sales teams.
- Partner with the planning team to distort buys and ensure in-stock positioning for key items and classifications.
- Filter high-level, topline selling takeaways to divisional and director levels with an action plan.
- Understand the retail and wholesale calendar and maximize efficiency for retail, direct, and wholesale business.
- Manage, coach, and develop the buying team.
- Discipline self and others to understand the customer, competition, and seek creative business opportunities.
- Manage the financials of the business: OTB, IMU, MD, closeouts, inventory, and receipt plan.
- Partner with design and production to exceed customers’ expectations for brand quality.
- Partner with allocation/planning and sales teams to understand store and wholesale customers (department, specialty, international, and ecommerce) and develop tailored assortments.
- Analyze assortment mix (private label, wholesale, and market) for retail, direct, and wholesale business.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- At least 8+ years of buying experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion, Business, or a related field.
