AVP Eastern & Virtual Regions

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support Territory Managers and Virtual Territory Managers across the Eastern Region, including performance expectations, development, and day-to-day activities
• Establish a consistent approach to distribution leadership that aligns with company priorities
• Represent the organization internally and externally, including with agency partners
• Build and maintain agency relationships that support long-term business growth
• Ensure alignment between agency approach, underwriting guidelines, and product offerings
• Represent GUARD in agency interactions and maintain consistent engagement
• Oversee sales execution across the region using established metrics and expectations
• Maintain alignment between distribution activities and underwriting strategy
• Support regional market development by working with distribution and underwriting leadership to identify opportunities for regional growth
• Contribute to broader distribution planning efforts
• Use market and performance data to support decision-making
• Translate findings into clear actions that support performance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing field distribution, including experience leading geographically dispersed sales teams
• Experience developing and managing agency relationships
• Knowledge of commercial insurance, including Workers’ Compensation, Businessowners’, Commercial Auto, and Umbrella
• Familiarity with the Eastern Region, including agency networks and market conditions
• Experience with sales processes, decision-making, and people management
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the region
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI is a plus
• Valid driver’s license required and ability to meet company driving standards
