About the role

For our client, we are seeking an AVP Casualty Claims to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role focuses on casualty claims matters requiring strong legal and regulatory judgment, with an emphasis on coverage analysis and issue resolution. The position partners closely with broker teams, retail partners, and insurance carriers to address complex claim disputes and support sound policy interpretation. You will help shape practical solutions for recurring coverage concerns while maintaining credibility across key external relationships. This is a remote opportunity within a specialized insurance environment.

Location: Remote – US‑based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve coverage issues
• Draft coverage rebuttal position letters
• Review policies and provide technical support to broker teams
• Counsel brokers and retail partners on claims‑related issues
• Mediate claims issues and propose acceptable solutions
• Stay updated on claims and coverage developments
• Advise on policy wording solutions for recurring issues
• Build relationships with carriers and brokers to enhance credibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 8+ years of experience in Commercial General Liability claims
• Previous insurance carrier experience with high‑dollar OCIP/CCIP claims
• Experience in Workers Compensation and Marine General Liability claims is a plus
• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Proactive approach to developing and implementing long‑term business strategies

Pay

$112,000 – $140,000 annually
