AVP Card and ATM Services (On-Site)

About the role

The AVP of Card and ATM Services oversees card and ATM services, including strategic and tactical business planning, product development, and delivery of member experience. This role requires a deep understanding of credit union services, Visa guidelines, and relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversees card and ATM services, including strategic and tactical business planning, product development, and delivery of member experience.
• Maintains knowledge of emerging cards trends and monitors competitive market trends.
• Works collaboratively across all business units to promote continuous improvement of the credit union’s electronic services and increase member engagement.
• Serves as a tactical contact with internal resources and related third-party vendors to generate requests and resolve issues/bugs for enhancements, upgrades, or custom requests.
• Collaborates with other departments to ensure member-facing employees are equipped to educate members and showcase products and services.
• Maintains compliance with network reporting requirements and prepares budget where card, payments, and digital products, services, and tools are concerned.
• Hires, coaches, evaluates, and disciplines staff, and develops and/or updates terms and conditions, policies, and procedures related to card services and payments.
• Provides necessary documentation in a timely manner to support periodic internal and external audits.
• Conducts formalized and ad-hoc training for card, and ATM/ITM products.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements such as the Privacy Act, OFAC, and Bank Secrecy/Patriot Act.

Requirements

• Associates or bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field.
• Ten to twelve years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Previous experience as a leader in a credit union highly preferred.
• Experience with card products, in the financial industry including knowledge in core banking platforms, payments, and omni channels systems a plus.

Qualifications

• Outgoing, analytical, enthusiastic, conscientious, group-oriented, open to change, and able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Knowledge of mobile application development tools, techniques, and procedures is highly preferred.
• Experience with .Net Framework, Java, JSON, C++, SDK is preferred.
• Android and iOS mobile application development lifecycle standards preferred.
• Microsoft or other related certification(s) preferred.
• Experience with third-party libraries and API integration.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office, the credit union’s core system, and other computer programs/software to complete digital enhancements and/or implement new strategies.
• Familiarity with the differences in related products and services offered by other financial institutions to those offered by the credit union.
• Experience with Jack Henry Symitar core system and Velera card processing platform is a plus.
• Experience with credit union or banking conversions is a plus.
• Completes and achieves passing scores on various SAFE FCU Policy, Procedure, Development and Enhancement Curriculum annually.
