About the role

This is the Premier Banking Officer position at Bluestone Bank. You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, focusing on gathering new deposits, adding new customers, and identifying, developing, and generating new small business deposit and revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities by actively prospecting, soliciting, and meeting with potential clients.
  • Identify business opportunities, conduct need assessments, and partner with internal product teams to structure appropriate banking solutions.
  • Prepare and execute relationship presentations and support Cash Management solutions within established bank policy.
  • Conduct retention and business development calls for existing, potential, and new bank customers, focusing on delivering business results and developing lasting customer relationships.
  • Interview customers, obtain and compile necessary documentation and financial information to process all types of requests, including deposit and loan accounts, debit cards, and cash management services.
  • Discuss customer and prospect needs, problems, or complaints with immediate manager and recommend resolutions as appropriate.
  • Maintain a list of potential prospects, referrals, and active and viable leads to develop new business and expand the current client base.
  • Arrange meetings between customers or prospective customers and appropriate bank personnel, focusing on maximizing customer and bank employee time and focus.
  • Routinely provide input and recommendations to immediate manager about relevant developments that may impact Bluestone.
  • Make recommendations and participate in disseminating certain marketing programs for Bluestone's products and lending services.
  • Represent Bluestone at various civic and community functions and events to develop new business, increase deposits, and enhance Bluestone's image in the community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Successful relationship-driven business professional with at least 3+ years in client-facing service and sales positions.
  • Strong customer service orientation that includes knowing your audience, making recommendations for effective problem resolution, and having a high level of enthusiasm and creativity.
  • Formal sales training a plus.
  • Experience in a financial institution or loan office a plus.
  • A strong desire to help others succeed.
  • Prominent written and verbal communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.
