AVP, Branch Manager - Costa Mesa
About the role
The Branch Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk, and partnering with other partners in the bank for overall branch growth.
Responsibilities
- Engages in organic growth activities through an exceptional client experience
- Partners with various departments and serves the customer base with the united goal of bank growth through service
- Performs personnel actions including performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and interviewing candidates for employment
- Supervises the daily activities of the team including effective delegation of assignments, developing work schedules, and providing necessary training
- Affirms responsibility and accountability for the operational compliance within the branch including teller cash counts, certifications, new and closed account reports, CTR filing, suspicious activity reporting, elder abuse reporting, and staff adherence to company policies and procedures
- Affirms audit compliance and procedure quality control and recommends and imitates corrective actions; ensures that the branch is in compliance with established Bank policies, procedures and state and federal regulations
- Involved with interviewing and hiring decisions
- Prepares and delivers employee performance evaluations, goal planning, and counseling
- Manages, supports, coaches and trains employees
- Follows all established policies and procedures
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience in banking which should include 4 years of branch management and operations
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Associate’s degree or higher is preferred
Qualifications
- Current California driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Information Program (CIP), Right to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA state and federal) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)

- Advance math skills; calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs
- Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees
- Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule and the work schedules of others on a short-term and long-term basis
- Ability to communicate with individuals utilizing a telephone; requires ability to hear and speak effectively on the telephone

The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.
