AVP, Application Development

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a AVP, Application Development to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead application development efforts that support core HR technology capabilities across the employee lifecycle. The position is responsible for driving a technical roadmap, strengthening integrations between enterprise systems, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions. It is a highly collaborative leadership role with responsibility for both people management and technology execution.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Pay

Compensation: $224,250 – $403,650 annually

Responsibilities

• Plan HR technology roadmaps and integrate new technologies to support the employee lifecycle
• Manage a team of HRIS analysts, developers, and system administrators
• Own integration architecture between core HR systems and adjacent platforms
• Ensure data integrity, system security, and compliance with privacy standards
• Manage vendor relationships and the HR technology budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or 4 years of relevant education and/or experience
• 10 years of progressive related experience managing all phases of application development
• 6 years of people leadership experience in high-performing teams
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
• Extensive experience in all stages of the software development life cycle
