W2 only- No C2C, 1099 or sponsorship Assistant Vice President, AI Strategy & Transformation Healthcare Experience RequiredWe are seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President of AI Strategy & Transformation to lead enterprise-wide AI strategy, governance, and execution within a healthcare organization. This highly visible leadership role will drive AI initiatives that deliver measurable clinical, operational, and financial outcomes while ensuring compliance, patient safety, and responsible AI practices.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute the enterprise AI roadmap and investment strategy.Lead AI governance, portfolio management, and prioritization of AI initiatives.Partner with executive, clinical, operational, and technology leaders to identify high-impact AI opportunities.Establish ROI frameworks and track business value across AI programs.Oversee AI vendor evaluations, contracts, and implementation strategies.Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, governance, and clinical safety requirements.Drive change management, AI adoption, and organizational AI maturity.Lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across the enterprise.Qualifications10+ years of experience leading large-scale business transformation initiatives.5+ years of enterprise-level program, strategy, or transformation leadership.Experience managing governance frameworks, complex portfolios, and executive stakeholder groups.Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, generative AI, predictive analytics, and related technologies.Proven ability to deliver measurable business outcomes through strategy and execution.Healthcare industry experience is required.Experience working within regulated environments and managing compliance-focused initiatives.Strong leadership, communication, and executive presentation skills.Ideal BackgroundHealthcare provider, payer, population health, or healthcare services organizations.Enterprise AI transformation, digital transformation, innovation, or strategic operations leadership.Experience influencing senior executives and driving change across large, matrixed organizations.This role is ideal for a hands-on, strategic leader who can bridge business and technology to deliver meaningful AI-driven transformation in healthcare.
