(Avondale) Kids Care Facilitator (PM) (August Start)
Responsibilities
- Implement strategies to manage student behavior effectively and promote a harmonious environment.
- Maintain a vigilant and proactive approach to supervising students during activities and transitions.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students in the Kids Care program at all times.
- Execute plans for Kids Care activities with fidelity, ensuring they are engaging and developmentally appropriate.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and enjoyment.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with all members of the school community, including coworkers, parents, and students.
- Address any concerns or inquiries from parents in a timely and respectful manner.
- Attend regular meetings with SVE staff to discuss program updates, student progress, and any concerns.
- Provide oral and written reports as needed to document program activities, incidents, and student progress.
- Follow procedures and policies for the operation of the Kids Care program as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Arizona Department of Health Services and Arizona Department of Economic Security.
- Ensure all activities and interactions are in compliance with SVE standards and regulations.
- Establish Kids Care routines and procedures in a positive manner conducive to positive behavior.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Six (6) months experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
- Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Current (within 1 year) Tuberculosis Test Results.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
- (Must be taken and completed in-person).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including staff, parents, and students.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Early Education or closely related field (preferred).
- At least one (1) year of experience in a similar program as Kids Care (preferred).
- Physical Requirements: Requires ability standing, bending, moving, lift Lifting up to 10 pounds.
Skills
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
