Avionics Software Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer - Rockford, IL (Onsite)

Location: Rockford, IL (Onsite) – Full-time position. No visa sponsorship available; only Green Card holders and US Citizens may apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead software verification and validation (V&V) activities in the aerospace domain.
• Build instrumentation and perform Structural Coverage Analysis (SCA).
• Create builds and conduct coverage analysis.
• Apply software testing methodologies, including Black-box, White-box, and boundary value analysis.
• Perform unit, integration (SSIT and HSIT), and system-level testing.
• Identify root causes of defects through analytical and problem-solving techniques.
• Document and communicate test results and findings clearly.
• Manage configuration and change activities using tools like Synergy CM/Change, Polarion, or SVN.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience in aerospace software verification and validation.
• Mandatory aerospace domain experience.
• 6+ years of experience with the RTRT tool for SCA activities.
• 6+ years of strong experience with DO-178B/C standards and their application in software verification processes.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Ada, commonly used in avionics systems.
• Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS).
• Experience working in a regulated, safety-critical environment.
