Avionics Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift - 1101

About the role

This position is for an Avionics Maintenance Technician to work second shift at West Star Aviation in Perryville, MO. West Star is a rapidly growing MRO provider dedicated to providing its employees with growth opportunities and competitive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Perform general avionics support items on aircraft, including removal and installation of panels and components and repair work.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate systems on the aircraft when designated.
• Inspect and evaluate the aircraft and components when designated.
• Aircraft movement and performance verification of systems.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling to support operations.
• Work with customers in project management, pricing and customer support roles.
• Work independently on projects.
• Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
• Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.

Requirements

• A High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electronics or Avionics factory training is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Tech I: 0-2 years of experience in avionics, military avionics or electrical field.
• Tech II: 2-4 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field.
• Tech III: 4-6 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field.
• Master Technician: 6+ years’ experience with corporate/business avionics systems.

Pay

Compensation is competitive and industry-leading, paid weekly.
