About the role

This position offers a unique opportunity to work with some of the most advanced civilian aircraft in the world, performing tasks ranging from avionics installations to inspections. The role involves a mix of technical and administrative duties, requiring a combination of skill and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Remove and install panels, components, and interiors.
  • Stamp, bundle, and install connectors on wiring.
  • Removal of old wiring and installation of new wire bundles in aircraft.
  • Troubleshooting and evaluation of avionics systems on the aircraft.
  • Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
  • Aircraft movement and assistance in hangar stack.
  • Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
  • Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
  • Work within a team process.
  • Work independently on projects.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate (speaking, writing, reading).
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

  • A High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Electronics or Avionics training is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Qualifications

  • Tech I: 0-2 years of experience in avionics, military avionics or electrical field.
  • Tech II: 2-4 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field.
  • Tech III: 4-6 years of experience in avionics or military avionics field.
  • Master Technician: 6+ years’ experience with corporate/business avionics systems.

Skills

  • Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
  • Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.
  • Follow wiring diagrams, route and terminate wires at proper locations.
  • Troubleshoot, evaluate and perform functional tests for various avionics and instrument systems.
  • Work with others in a professional manner.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $22-$35. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.

Schedule

Varied positions in and around the aircraft. Work is performed in a hangar environment subject to extreme temperature variations from very cold to very hot. Work outside during aircraft runs will occur.
