Avionics/Electrical Technician, F-35 - Level 4

Responsibilities

• Services, repairs, and overhauls F-35 aircraft electrical systems to ensure airworthiness.
• Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft electrical systems, incorporating engineering changes.
• Replaces and repairs worn or damaged components.
• Adjusts, repairs, and replaces electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories.
• Performs circuit analyses and traces relationships in signal flow using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment.
• Participates in the maintenance and logistics scheduling and execution.
• Develops solutions to complex problems concerning support to assigned site.
• Reads and interprets engineering drawings, technical manuals, symbols, flags, and general notes.
• Identifies aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown on engineering documentation and technical orders.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess an Interim Secret Clearance to start with the ability to obtain a Final Secret Clearance.
• Must be willing and able to travel (CONUS and OCONUS).
• Must possess a current U.S. passport.
• 3-5 years of fighter aircraft experience; 5th Gen aircraft experience is a plus.
• Previously awarded a 5 or 7 Skill level USAF AFSC, Navy NEC, or Marine MOS discipline rating or an equivalent Airframe and Power Plant FAA certificate.

Desired Skills

• Working knowledge of Maintenance Information Systems such as Electronic Maintenance Instructions, Aircraft Forms Documentation, and Supply Chain Management.
• Knowledgeable of Tool Control, FOD, Supply, HAZMAT, Training, Quality, and Security programs.
• F-35 Avionics/Electrical experience.
• Low Observable Coatings application experience.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds.
• Performs repetitive movements, works overhead, uses hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, and reaches with hands and arms.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.
• May require confined space entry.
• May require extended work hours.
• Must meet certain military-required health screenings and immunizations.

For Washington state applicants only: Non-represented full-time employees accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) and receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full-time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month, up to 52 hours of sick leave annually, and receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $30.00 - $55.77 per hour.
