Aviation Pilot - Full-Time

About the role

As an Air Ambulance Pilot, you are vital in providing rapid, life-saving patient transportation while ensuring the safety of medical teams and passengers during flights.

Responsibilities

• Operate aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations and company policies
• Plan and execute flights considering weather, weight, and fuel needs
• Collaborate with medical staff, ground crew, and dispatch for seamless missions
• Respond promptly to emergency calls
• Maintain accurate flight and maintenance logs
• Represent the organization professionally with patients and the public

Required Skills & Qualifications

• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument or Airline Transport rating
• Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate
• Minimum of 2,500 hours helicopter flight time
• 100 hours cross-country (25 at night)
• 75 instrument hours
• 100 night flight hours
• Ability to pass a 135.293 check ride

Preferred Qualifications

• Air ambulance experience
• Night Vision Goggle experience
• 300 flight hours at night
• 1,000 hours turbine-engine time
• Residence within one hour of the base

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods and perform pre/post-flight inspections
• Meet FAA medical and hearing standards
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Tolerate varying environmental conditions
