Aviation Machinist

Essential Functions

Combines knowledge of metals with skillful handling of machine tools to make precision machined aircraft parts and aircraft tooling.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED.

Minimum Experience

• Thirty-six (36) months machinist experience in a machine shop.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Knowledge of machine shop maintenance operations and procedures required.
• Working knowledge of all aspects in machining techniques, operations, and procedures used in a machine shop environment.
• Experience in the servicing of lathes, mills, and surface grinders.
• Able to lift and maneuver heavy aircraft related components, parts, and equipment.

Job Conditions

• Willing to work odd work weeks, rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• FAA covered safety sensitive position.
• Subject to regulatory alcohol & drug testing, which includes testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine, and opioids.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
