About the role

In the role of Aviation Engineer, we'll count on you to:

  • Client identification and problem-solving
  • Talent identification and career journey
  • Process and tool application and development
  • Implementation of QMP procedures
  • Project design report preparation
  • Coordination with applicable agencies and clients
  • Lead analyses/design for specific components of a project
  • Field reviews to ensure construction compliance
  • Maintain an updated resume
  • Aid in technical write-ups of completed projects

Responsibilities

This position involves:

  • Suggesting solutions to client problems based on FAA and USACOE guidance
  • Preparing approaches, scopes of work, and fee estimates for small projects
  • Developing project design reports and coordinating with relevant agencies and clients
  • Leading analyses and designs for specific project components
  • Conducting field reviews to ensure compliance with contract documents
  • Maintaining an updated resume
  • Aiding in the creation of technical write-ups for completed projects

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with Airfield Planning and Design
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • A professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered
  • A thorough understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D (or similar design software), AVI-Plan software packages, and Infraworks modeling software (or similar design software)
  • An overall understanding of airfield design
  • Strong technical background and experience in designing various aspects of airfields
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

Skills

  • Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered
  • Experience with Airfield Planning and Design
  • Thorough understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D (or similar design software), AVI-Plan software packages, and Infraworks modeling software (or similar design software)
  • Leadership roles in external professional aviation-related organizations
  • Implementation of QMP procedures on performed tasks
  • Ability to lead analyses and designs for specific project components
  • Field review capabilities to ensure construction compliance with contract documents
  • Strong technical background and experience in designing several aspects of airfields
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
