About the role

We are seeking an Aviation Designer to join our growing aviation group in our Nebraska division. This individual will contribute to strategic initiatives that drive the growth of the aviation group. Key responsibilities include performing engineering models, analysis and designs, supporting calculations and documentation, and coordinating drafting of project elements for various clients. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of aviation design experience and hold an EIT license.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to strategic initiatives driving the growth of the aviation group
  • Perform engineering models, analysis, and designs
  • Support calculations and documentation
  • Cook drafting of project elements for various clients
  • Coordinate with experienced aviation design staff
  • Prepare multiple design projects at one time
  • Develop thorough design details appropriate for the project
  • Understand and apply design standards and codes
  • Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items
  • Take ownership of all deliverables

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
  • E.I.T (or desire to obtain P.E. in the future) preferred
  • Knowledgeable in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office products
  • Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects
  • Willingness to be adaptable to office and field inspection tasks
  • The position may include the need to perform field inspections and may require travel to project sites
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Detail-oriented and organized individual who thrives in deadline-driven environments

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of aviation design experience
  • E.I.T license preferred

Skills

  • AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Microsoft Office products

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

This individual will work out of either our Lincoln or Omaha office on a hybrid schedule.
