Aviation Designer
About the role
We are seeking an Aviation Designer to join our growing aviation group in our Kansas division. This individual will contribute to strategic initiatives that drive the growth of the aviation group. Key responsibilities include performing engineering models, analysis and/or designs, supporting calculations and documentation, and coordinating drafting of project elements.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to strategic initiatives that drive the growth of the aviation group
- Perform engineering models, analysis and/or designs
- Support calculations and documentation
- Cook drafting of project elements for various clients
- Prepare multiple design projects at one time
- Develop thorough design details appropriate for the project
- Understand and apply design standards/codes
- Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items
- Take ownership of all deliverables
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
- E.I.T (or desire to obtain P.E. in the future) preferred
- Knowledgeable in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office products
- Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects
- Willingness to be adaptable to office and field inspection tasks
- The position may include the need to perform field inspection and may require travel to project sites
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Detail-oriented and organized individual who thrives in deadline-driven environments
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of aviation design experience
- Current E.I.T license or strong desire to obtain P.E. in the future
Skills
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Microsoft Office Suite
