Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing and reviewing specific project components, including airport and airfield design, grading, drainage, pavement, roadway design, stormwater management and detention, and utilities, using standard engineering practices and techniques.
- Oversees and reviews work performed by others in the preparation of project deliverables, including reports, contract plans, specifications, supporting documents, and permit applications.
- Develops project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Manages projects to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Manages staff and subconsultants assigned to projects.
- Maintains team members’ adherence to Primera procedures and policies.
- Mentors and trains project staff members.
- Performs project-specific assignments as required.
- Manages client relationships by meeting with clients, regulators, and agencies to develop strong professional partnerships. Collaborates with the Department/Group Manager to market Primera’s services to existing and potential clients.
- Affords assistance in the development of new business through client meetings and participation in promotional activities.
- Prepares project invoices and progress reports in accordance with client requirements.
- Develops marketing materials and proposals, including RFPs, RFQs, and SOQs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated accomplishment performing the duties and responsibilities listed above.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation.
- Knowledge of Civil 3D or GEOPAK preferred.
- Strong research, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of aviation industry standards, codes, and practices.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering or a related field required.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
