About the role

The Aviation Supervisor of Janitorial Services oversees cleaning and maintenance operations within an airport facility, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and airport standards.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and manage janitorial staff, including training and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure all cleaning procedures adhere to airport safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Oversee daily cleaning operations in various airport facilities, including terminals, restrooms, lounges, and baggage areas.
  • Conduct routine inspections to maintain cleanliness and address issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with airport management and other departments to meet janitorial needs.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper use and storage.
  • Enforce health and safety policies, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Respond to urgent cleaning requests and resolve customer complaints regarding cleanliness.
  • Train and mentor janitorial team members, promoting excellence and efficiency.
  • Maintain records of cleaning schedules, staff attendance, and performance evaluations.

Requirements

  • Valid State Driver's License for at least 1 year
  • At least 21 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of supervisory experience in janitorial services, preferably in an aviation or large facility environment
  • Knowledge of airport security and safety protocols
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • Flexible schedule, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred

Qualifications

Pay

$20.50 / hour. The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Schedule

Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Monday: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Tuesday: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Wednesday: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
Thursday & Friday: OFF
