AV Integration Technician (Raleigh NC)

The Role

The on-site AV Integration Technician will install displays, projectors, audio systems, control systems, and teleconferencing systems. The position involves regional travel (85%) to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Onsite installation of displays, projectors, audio systems, control systems, and teleconferencing systems.
• Installation, testing, and termination of low voltage cabling.
• Follow instructions from Lead Technicians and Project Managers.
• Complete basic rack wiring.
• Learn to operate various collaboration platforms and continue education for AV certification.
• Assist with inventory, staging, and testing of AV and network hardware.
• Communicate with other trades and handle basic customer communication.
• Travel to various job sites.

Required Skills and Professional Experience

• High School Diploma/GED or bachelor’s degree and/or military experience.
• 3+ years of experience in the low voltage or AV industry.
• Ability to work on a ladder, lift, push and/or pull 50 pounds or more, stand for long periods, and be able to bend, kneel and work with arms raised for prolonged periods.

Preferred Skills and Professional Experience

• Audio Video experience is desired.
• Previous certifications (CTS, Extron, Avixa, Shure, Biamp, Crestron etc.) are valuable.
• 1-5 years of AV integration experience.
