AV Field Cabling Installer (Audiovisual Technician )

About the role

Golden Star Technology Inc. (GST) is seeking an experienced AV Field Cabling Installer to join their growing team in San Diego, CA. This is a hands-on role supporting audiovisual (AV) and technology installations in a variety of environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure AV systems including displays, projectors, video conferencing systems, and AV racks
• Perform structured cabling, including cable pulls, terminations, and labeling for low-voltage systems
• Troubleshoot and test AV equipment to ensure proper functionality and performance
• Assist with system layout, installation planning, and job site preparation
• Load and update AV control system software as required
• Maintain a professional and customer-focused presence onsite
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to quality standards

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in AV installation, low-voltage systems, or structured cabling
• Experience with commercial AV systems and installation best practices
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working at heights and using ladders or lifts
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Reliable transportation to travel between job sites
• Must provide standard trade tools
