About the role
The AV Field Engineer at Conti LLC is a key contributor to the engineering, design, and commissioning of Audio-Visual systems across various commercial and enterprise projects. This role involves working closely with the Sales, Project Management, CAD, Field Technicians, Service, Programming, and Management teams to deliver high-quality AV solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with all departments: Sales, Project Management, CAD, Field Technicians, Service, Programming, and Management.
- Attend site visits and project meetings as required.
- Provide both pre-sales and post-sales support, including proposal reviews, specifications analysis, bid drawing evaluations, and assistance with quote modifications.
- Work with engineering team members to create necessary drawings using AutoCAD, referencing specifications, architectural drawings, addendums, and quoting software.
- Develop complete drawing packages including setup drawings, signal flow (one-line) diagrams, risers, wiring details, and other required documentation.
- Provide on-site project support, working closely with Technicians and Project Managers to ensure proper implementation.
- Perform on-site system commissioning, verify system design, and complete commissioning documentation to meet project requirements.
- Update and modify quoting system details based on engineered drawings to ensure correct equipment ordering with minimal errors or omissions.
- Provide technical phone support to technicians, service personnel, sales, and project management.
- Provide remote technical support to clients during business hours and, when necessary, after hours.
- Create project-required documentation such as commissioning forms, IP/MAC address forms, testing documents, and other close-out materials.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an AV Engineer or Field Engineer, with a strong background in audio-visual systems, including experience with AutoCAD and other relevant software. A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
