About the role

The purpose of this class is to develop, implement, train users, and support instructional technology initiatives and projects in enhanced classrooms and other venues.

Responsibilities

  • Install, support, trouble-shoot and maintain hardware and software related to CCBC AV projects, such as smart classroom hardware, new building design, and specific departmental and project requirements.
  • Set up audio visual presentation equipment and record CCBC large scale special events, streaming video presentations, virtual meeting platforms, as well as on-site presentation and event visual and sound reinforcement support.
  • Guide and direct team member activities during project assignments and event productions. (local activity Forman/lead)
  • Provide AV content production and basic editing for college event content.
  • Maintain equipment inventory and assist in managing the yearly lifecycle of CCBC classrooms, multi-purpose rooms, and learning spaces.
  • Provide lead role and oversee to completion projects assigned by the AV manager, ensuring that CCBC resources are utilized efficiently.
  • Cookordinate project schedules and activities with CCBC staff as well as outside vendors, identify and resolve technical problems, and ensure all project phases are documented appropriately.
  • Install and maintain the college’s Audio-Visual products, equipment, and content.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, repair Audio-Visual products, equipment, and content.
  • Order and replace parts as needed.
  • Gather requirements, evaluate options, and recommend solutions, products or services that best fit CCBC’s needs.
  • Create, document, and coordinate repair tickets, service calls and product return and replacements.
  • Support the AV manager with administrative tasks relating to the functions of the department.
  • Train employees on CCBC policy for event set up and operation, troubleshooting AV systems and general knowledge of departmental function and responsibilities.
  • Provide production services such as video capture, audio engineering, lighting design, streaming media, and virtual meeting and event platforms.
  • Provide standardized media format to CCBC staff for distribution.
  • Provide event production support for large scale special events involving technical expertise in sound engineering, sound reinforcement and digital media presentation and capture.

  • Do you have an associate’s degree? YesNo
  • Do you have five (5) years of technology support experience or a bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of identical experience? One (1) year of the required experience should be focused on AV and/or media support? Provide explanation
  • Do you have two technical certifications within the IT or AV field? Provide explanation
  • Do you have Knowledge of audio-visual systems and computer equipment? Provide explanation
