About the role
Work closely with Autonomy Systems integration engineers, Technical Program Managers, and Application Architects to ensure product architecture and program requirements are met. Support the delivery of base machine software changes for command-for-hauling releases, including both NPI and CPI solutions. Assist in field data collection kit activities, verification and validation processes, and the design and development of application software and algorithms for robotic platforms.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with systems teams to ensure software and hardware designs are delivered on time, including requirements development, documentation, test, and validation support.
- Support field data collection kit activities, including design, procurement, shipping, and documentation of architecture specifications, software design descriptions, verification plans, test cases, operating procedures, and safety procedures.
- Assist in the verification and validation process, including troubleshooting hardware-in-the-loop and proving ground tests.
- Develop application software and algorithms for robotic platforms, working with the L6 base machine team on feature requirements that impact the autonomy layer.
- Decompose and compose requirements, and work with validation teams to ensure integrated features function as planned.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science from an accredited institution.
Skills
- Programming: Knowledge of relevant programming languages and tools; ability to test, write, design, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain source code.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, applications, or operations.
- Artificial Intelligence: Knowledge of AI concepts, technologies, and methodologies; ability to develop, implement, and apply AI products and services.
- Application Development Tools: Knowledge of application and system development; ability to utilize development tools and toolkits.
- Software Product Testing: Ability to design, plan, and execute testing strategies to ensure software quality and adherence to requirements.
- Software Development Life Cycle: Knowledge of structured methodologies for delivering and managing software products.

Pay
$92,000 – $97,000 USD per year (Mossville, IL).
