Autonomous Vehicle Operator

About the role

HireArt is partnering with an innovative, autonomous ride-hailing company to find a Level 3 Vehicle Operator. This role involves ensuring safety, maintaining vehicle readiness, completing tests, and representing the company's brand.

Responsibilities

• Drive 4-8 hours a day with a focus on safety
• Conduct basic software operation tasks
• Support missions through various roles inside and outside of vehicles
• Aid in documentation and metrics
• Provide accurate written and oral feedback to engineering teams
• Support vehicle maintenance and logistics
• Conduct daily basic vehicle preventative maintenance checks, services, and repairs
• Offer logistical support for vehicle movement and storage
• Ensure vehicles, equipment, and workplace are ready and clean
• Assist with paperwork and documentation related to vehicle readiness

Requirements

• Meet all autonomous vehicle test driver requirements, including a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Comply with the Controlled Substance and Alcohol Testing Program as required by the company
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Have an excellent driving history and no criminal background
• Be proactive and resourceful

Pay & Schedule

• Day Shift: 5:45am-2:15pm, 6:45am-3:15pm, or 7:45am-4:15pm - $29.00 per hour
• Night Shift: 1:45pm-10:15pm, 2:45pm-11:15pm, 3:45pm-12:15am, or 5:45pm-2am - $31.30 per hour (7% bonus for weekend shifts)

Commitment

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) contract position staffed via HireArt. The role is open to candidates local to the San Francisco Bay Area. HireArt values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
