Autonomous Vehicle Operator

About the role

HireArt is partnering with an autonomous ride-hailing company to find an Autonomous Vehicle Operator. This role involves ensuring safety, maintaining vehicle readiness, conducting tests, and representing the company's brand.

Responsibilities

• Drive 4-8 hours a day with safety as a priority
• Conduct basic software operation tasks
• Support missions through various roles inside and outside of vehicles
• Aid in documentation and metrics
• Provide accurate written and oral feedback to engineering teams
• Support vehicle maintenance and logistics
• Perform daily basic vehicle preventative maintenance checks, services, and repairs
• Offer logistical support for vehicle movement and equipment storage
• Ensure vehicle, equipment, and workplace readiness and cleanliness
• Assist with paperwork and documentation related to vehicle readiness

Requirements

• Basic vehicle knowledge for performing checks
• Ability to drive for extended periods (6 hours)
• Basic technology skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive mindset and resourcefulness
• No criminal history and excellent driving record
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience preferred
• Military experience preferred

Pay

Compensation starts at $27.00 per hour, with weekend shifts adding 5% per hour in bonus pay and night shifts starting at 1 p.m. or later adding an additional 2% per hour in bonus pay (totaling 7% on weekends).

Schedule

• Day Shift: 7:45am-4:15pm
• Night Shift: 3:45pm-12:15am
