Autonomous Mining Systems Coordinator II

Responsibilities
- Performs work to develop, maintain, and refine autonomous mining environments, including haul roads, load plans, dump plans, and exclusion areas.
- Validates system accuracy, identifies and resolves issues, and completes troubleshooting to support reliable autonomous operations.
- Maintains ongoing communication with Pit Technicians in the field to verify and ensure accuracy of haul roads, load plans, dump plans, and exclusion areas.
- Independently updates the system based on field conditions to maintain alignment between the virtual environment and actual operations.
- Creates, updates, and monitors speed zones, one-way routes, right-of-way rules, and fail-safe controls.
- Evaluates system performance and field input to make adjustments that support safe, efficient, and reliable autonomous operations.
- Reviews weekly mine audit results, slow/stop reports, and mine model with the Senior Systems Coordinator.
- Identifies discrepancies, determines appropriate corrections, and completes updates in the virtual system to improve accuracy and performance.
- Performs system validation and troubleshooting activities.
- Identifies, investigates, and resolves issues impacting system performance, escalating complex issues when needed.
- Follows all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Reports autonomous-related incidents as soon as practicable and participates in safety meetings, incident investigations, and site safety programs.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Requirements
- Four (4) years of combined experience in mining, heavy industrial industry, dispatch, fleet management systems, or autonomy.
- Proficient in computer operation and application.
- Action-oriented.
- Approachable and displays listening skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and situational awareness in high-risk environments.
- Effective communication and coordination skills across technical and operational teams.
- Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- One year of Systems Coordinator experience.
- Shovel and/or support equipment experience.
- Pit tech experience.
What We Offer You
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $32.00 - $43.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
