Job Summary

American BOA, a leading manufacturer of flexible metal products, is seeking a skilled Welder proficient in MiG (Metal Inert Gas) and TiG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding techniques. The position plays a crucial role in the fabrication of high-quality metal components used in various industries.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MiG and TiG welding operations on various types of metal components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding parameters to ensure proper penetration, fusion, and quality of welds.
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and dimensions.
  • Inspect welds for quality and conformance to specifications, utilizing visual inspection and measuring instruments.
  • Operate welding machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area, including proper storage and handling of welding materials and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to achieve production goals and resolve any issues related to welding processes.
  • Participate in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding skills and knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Welder, with expertise in MiG and TiG welding techniques.
  • Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME) preferred.
  • Proficient reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
  • Basic math skills and understanding of measurements.
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects.
  • Commitment to safety, including knowledge of welding hazards and proper safety procedures.
