Responsibilities
- Greet and guide customers on the lot and lead them through the vehicle-buying process
- Assist customers in selecting vehicles that meet their needs using current inventory
- Demonstrate vehicle features and benefits with confidence and professionalism
- Help customers complete sales applications and necessary paperwork
- Perform high-quality test drives and vehicle presentations
- Build relationships to create repeat and referral business
- Inspect lot vehicles daily and report issues to the Used Vehicle Manager
- Ensure the lot is merchandised correctly to maximize sales
- Follow up with buyers to confirm satisfaction and encourage return business
- Overcome objections and maintain a positive attitude during the sales process
- Bring your “A-game” every day to contribute to a positive dealership environment
- Assist with vehicle cleaning and prepare vehicles when needed
- Guide customers through the sales process from introduction to purchase
- Present vehicle options, features, and packages effectively
- Manage follow-up activity to maintain strong customer relationships
- Use dealership CRM tools to document interactions and update customer information
- Work collaboratively with sales management to support dealership goals
- Maintain knowledge of inventory, promotions, and dealership offerings
- Support sales operations by ensuring vehicles are displayed and prepared properly
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous sales or customer service experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills; friendly, outgoing, and confident in engaging customers
- Quality customer service mindset with the ability to handle objections
- Professional communication skills, both in person and over the phone
- Basic business math understanding, including percentages
- Ability to learn and use Microsoft Office, dealership software, and sales tools
- Persistent, competitive, and motivated to achieve goals
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
