About the role

The Tag & Title Clerk for Vehicle Sales prepares legal transfer documents for the Department of Motor Vehicles.

• Titling new and used vehicles and wholesale titles
• Processing vehicle registrations and license plates
• Filing and other duties as needed
• Processing all out of state deals to be sent to agency

Responsibilities

• Processes tag and title applications for all new and used car deals and ensures that all monies are received and personal checks are cleared before title work is submitted
• Submits all legal transfer documents to the DMV
• Corrects any title issue for auctions in a timely manner
• Corrects problems and rejects from counties and state as quickly as possible
• Maintains file of title and registration paperwork for all vehicles in inventory, including MSO for new vehicles
• Handles all inquiries regarding tag and title from customers, salespeople and auctions

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of automotive e-titling experience REQUIRED
• ADP/CDK proficiency preferred
• Knowledge of DLR DMV preferred
• Two years of relevant experience in a dealership position
• Able to meet critical deadlines for management as well as our guests
• Must present a positive and professional image to customers, staff, and vendors
