Position Overview
MWCC is seeking adjunct faculty in automotive technology to provide high-quality instruction in classroom, laboratory, and online settings. This is part of a pool of potential part-time positions for the 2024–2025 and 2025–2026 academic years. Applicants will be considered as openings arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach automotive courses in traditional and non-traditional learning modes
- Prepare instructional materials and lesson plans
- Assess student performance and submit final grades timely
- Be available to students by appointment
- Participate in minimal faculty meetings (typically one per session)
- Travel to both Gardner and Fitchburg campuses as needed
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a related field
- Master ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certified Master Technician required
- Evidence of competence in automotive instruction
- Maintain industry expertise relevant to teaching responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced L-1 ASE certification
- 3–5 years teaching experience at the community college level
Salary
- 3-Credit Lecture: $4,191 – $5,064
- 4-Credit Lecture: $5,588 – $6,752
- 4-Credit Lab: $6,259 – $7,562
