Class Description

Responsibilities
- Maintain currency in the field and relevant licensure/certification through professional development and scholarly activities.
- Teach Automotive Technology courses in the AAS curriculum.
- Participate in professional development, maintaining full ASE and related certifications.
- Earn L3, L4, xEV1 and xEV2 certifications within the first year of hire if teaching in related coursework.
- Be available to students and the Chair during associated office hours.
- Teach classes in any or all variations of the Automotive Degree, or related non-credit sections, including assessment and structured laboratory activities.
- Adhere to the standards and protocols of the Department.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Technician Certification (A1-A8 plus L1) OR Ford/GM/Stellantis Master/World-Class Certification.
- Must earn L3, L4, xEV1 and xEV2 certifications within the first year of hire if teaching in related coursework.
- 5+ years of related industry experience.
- Teaching or training experience preferred.
- Available to work Monday-Thursday evenings or Friday & Saturday daytime.

- Adjunct Level 1 - $1,085 per credit hour.
