About the role

Hyundai of Kirkland is seeking an Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our rapidly expanding Service Department. Our recently remodeled facility features 24 fully equipped service stalls, providing an efficient and modern work environment. Each technician is guaranteed a minimum of one dedicated bay, and all manufacturer-required special tools are supplied by the dealership. We are committed to supporting career development and ongoing training, with access to both Hyundai online and in-person factory training. All online courses are paid, and we offer 8 hours of compensation for each day of in-person training.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose automotive problems as they arise
  • Conduct inspections, repair engine failure, mechanical and electrical systems, and replace parts
  • Comply with manufacturer specifications throughout repair/servicing process
  • Perform warranty and recall work
  • Mentor and assist other technicians on the Service Team

Schedule

Monday to Friday (7:00 AM to 4:30 PM). We will be switching to 4-10s once we are fully staffed.

Pay and Benefits

  • Flat-Rate: Up to $45.00 (Top performers can reach 180-200 billable hours). Includes a one-month guarantee period to acclimate.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of automotive repair/diagnostic experience
  • Hyundai Certification (mandatory)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Personal Tools

Corporate requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
