About the Role

Liberty Hyundai in Mahwah, New Jersey is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our growing service department. We are looking for a skilled technician who takes pride in their work, wants steady hours, and is ready to build a long term career with a dealership that values quality, productivity, and its employees.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair customer vehicles accurately and efficiently
• Perform maintenance, warranty, engine, transmission, electrical, and mechanical repairs
• Complete multi point inspections and identify necessary repairs
• Use diagnostic equipment and factory resources to properly identify vehicle concerns
• Communicate findings clearly with the service advisor and management team
• Complete repair orders with accurate documentation
• Perform quality inspections before returning vehicles to customers
• Maintain an organized and professional work area
• Follow dealership and manufacturer repair procedures
• Meet productivity, efficiency, and quality standards
• Participate in required training and certification programs

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician experience
• Hyundai, Kia, or dealership experience is a plus
• State inspection and ASE certifications are a plus
• Strong diagnostic and electrical skills are preferred
• Ability to properly use diagnostic equipment and repair information
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Must provide or have access to the tools required for the position
• Dependable, productive, and committed to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
