Responsibilities

  • Deliver automotive technology instruction in classroom and lab settings.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and productive learning environment.
  • Monitor student attendance, academic progress, and performance; maintain accurate records and submit required reports.
  • Support curriculum development, course preparation, equipment maintenance, and student retention initiatives.
  • Communicate student concerns, attendance issues, and other matters requiring attention to the Program Coordinator.
  • Participate in required training, professional development, and instructor development activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by school leadership.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum three (3) years of practical automotive industry experience.
  • Certifications: ASE Certification equal to the level of classes taught (preferred).
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, repair procedures, and industry safety standards. Strong communication, organizational, and recordkeeping skills. Proficiency with computers and instructional technology. Professional demeanor with strong attention to detail and commitment to student success. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and teach both day and evening classes. Commitment to completing at least 20 hours of annual technical update training.

Pay

Up to $31/hour

Schedule

Monday - Thursday (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday OFF!) - 4:00 PM - 10:30 PM OR 12:00 PM - 10:30 PM
