Automotive Technician Claims Support - Mechanical Warranty
About the Role
We are seeking current and former Service Advisors, Technicians, or Parts Counter Specialists with extensive automotive expertise to join our team as a Vehicle Service Contract Claims Adjuster. This role offers an opportunity to leverage your automotive knowledge in a professional office environment, with potential for advancement into Senior and Lead positions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage vehicle service contract claims (Mechanical Claims) from intake through resolution.
- Conduct and coordinate inspections for claims exceeding defined thresholds or when required to validate reported failures.
- Review contract terms and determine coverage eligibility based on policy guidelines. li>Validate supporting documentation and assess repair estimates for accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate with repair facilities, customers, and internal partners to provide updates, guidance, and issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate claim records and documentation throughout the claims lifecycle.
- Meet productivity and quality benchmarks while applying sound judgment to support fair and consistent claim decisions.
- Identify and escalate complex issues or exceptions as needed.
- Perform active listening with concurrent accurate data entry.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience within the Automotive Service Industry (Technician/Mechanic, Service Advisors, Parts Advisor, Parts Counter/Specialist).
- Strong Automotive Technical and Mechanical knowledge.
- Previous experience in claims handling, automotive service, warranty administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Windows, MS-Office Products, and basic computer skills.
- Effective communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to evaluate information, apply policy guidelines, and make sound decisions.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. or Canada.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check.

- ASE Certifications (Past or Current)
- OEM Certifications (Past or Current)
- Automotive Trade/Technical Degree/Graduate
- Experience in Claims Adjudication
- Bilingual: Spanish or French
Work Environment
This position operates in an operation’s center environment with frequent inbound phone communication. Employees are expected to maintain professionalism, accuracy, and responsiveness in all interactions. The team is structured with dedicated supervisors available for guidance and escalation support and utilizes claims management systems and internal tools to help organize workload and ensure efficient processing.
