Automotive Technician Apprentice
About the Position
As an Automotive Technician Apprentice at Brown Motors, you will start your journey in our Quick Lane team, dedicating 12-24 months to mastering basic maintenance and repair skills under close supervision. During this period, you will also work towards acquiring state certificates and ASE certifications, supplemented by manufacturer training. Following your initial training, you will be paired with a Senior Master Technician for advanced hands-on learning, preparing you to graduate into our main technician team. The apprenticeship program is designed to last 18-24 months post-Quick Lane experience.
Compensation
Hourly Wage: $15.00 - $23.00
Performance-Based Bonuses: 46-50 Hours: $1.75 per flat rate hour
50.1-55 Hours: $3.00 per flat rate hour
55.1-60 Hours: $4.00 per flat rate hour
Over 60.1 Hours: $6.00 per flat rate hourAdditional Compensation for Heavy Trucks: An extra $2.00 per flat rate hour
Training and Allowances
All training sessions are paid.
Brown Motors also covers transportation, meals, and lodging for offsite training.
$100 allowance for prescription safety glasses every five years.
$50 yearly allowance for boots.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in automotive service technology preferred.
Basic understanding of automotive systems and familiarity with tools and diagnostic equipment.
Willingness to obtain ASE certifications and complete manufacturer-specific training.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow complex instructions.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and commitment to professional growth.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that require standing for extended periods.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Eligibility to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and basic repairs under supervision in the Quick Lane.
Progressively learn and apply new skills in automotive repair and maintenance.
Participate in ongoing training and certification programs, both onsite and offsite.
Assist Senior Master Technicians in complex repair tasks and diagnostics.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
