AUTOMOTIVE SHOP FOREMAN - H+H CHEVY

About the Role

Ready for a career change? Want to work for leaders who support your career and development? The H+H Group is looking to add an experienced Automotive Shop Foreman to mentor and develop our team of Technicians and Apprentices at our H+H Chevy location in Papillion.

You will maintain efficient communication between the Service Advisor and Service Technicians to ensure a smooth flow of vehicles through the repair process and maximize customer satisfaction. As the mentor for all Service Technicians and Apprentices, you will provide expertise when needed, check job status regularly to ensure timely and accurate repairs, and road-test vehicles with customers to diagnose issues. You will help maintain a steady workflow in the service shop, administer safety and housekeeping procedures, and handle all comebacks.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop a team of Technicians and Apprentices.
• Serve as the go-to expert for Technicians when they encounter problems.
• Regularly check job status to ensure timely and accurate repairs on the first visit.
• Road-test vehicles with customers to help diagnose issues.
• Maintain a steady flow of work in the service shop.
• Administer safety and housekeeping procedures.
• Handle all comebacks in the service shop.
• Facilitate communication between Service Advisors and Technicians.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Shop Foreman in a dealership or independent shop.
• Previous experience with Chevrolet as a Master Technician or higher.
• Strong diagnostic skills.
• Prior mentoring or leadership experience, either formally or informally.
• Effective communication skills with Technicians, Service Advisors, and Customers.
• Understanding of warranty processes, repair order documentation, and compliance standards.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritize multiple jobs.
• Ability to operate motor vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions.
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
• Ability to move about the dealership to communicate with other departments.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with rotating Saturdays.
