Automotive Service Technician

Primary Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair automotive systems accurately and efficiently
  • Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services, and inspections
  • Complete advanced repairs involving brakes, suspension, steering, engines, transmissions, drivability, and electrical systems
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical concerns
  • Document repair procedures and service recommendations according to dealership and manufacturer standards
  • Communicate repair needs and vehicle conditions clearly with service advisors
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
  • Stay current on emerging automotive technologies and manufacturer updates

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an Automotive Technician
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic abilities
  • Experience using automotive diagnostic tools and repair equipment
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Basic technician tools required (specialized dealership equipment provided)

Qualifications

  • Ford Master Certification strongly preferred
  • Ford manufacturer certifications highly valued
  • Previous dealership or high-volume service center experience
  • Experience servicing hybrid and electric vehicles is a plus
  • ASE Certifications preferred but not required
