What You'll Do

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, drivability, and other automotive components.
  • Perform repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  • Complete multi-point inspections and identify additional maintenance or repair needs.
  • Follow manufacturer warranty requirements, repair procedures, documentation standards, and repair escalation processes.
  • Test-drive vehicles and utilize factory diagnostic equipment and specialized tools to verify concerns and confirm repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with Service Advisors regarding repair recommendations, additional services needed, and estimated completion times.
  • Maintain accurate repair documentation and parts return procedures.
  • Keep your work area, service bay, toolbox, and surrounding workspace clean, organized, and safe.
  • Participate in manufacturer and company training programs to stay current with evolving vehicle technology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of professional automotive repair experience
  • Dealership experience preferred
  • Chrysler, Ford, GM, ASE, or other manufacturer certifications are a plus
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of modern automotive electrical, engine, transmission, suspension, brake, HVAC, and computerized vehicle systems
  • Ability to read repair orders, inspect vehicles, and accurately diagnose concerns
  • Knowledge of manufacturer warranty procedures and repair documentation
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 18 years of age
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • To provide your own technician tools
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • The ability to stand, bend, and work on your feet throughout the workday
  • The ability to safely operate customer vehicles
