Andrews Cadillac is seeking an experienced Service Dispatcher to coordinate technician workflow and help keep our service department operating efficiently. This is a key operational position for someone who understands dealership service processes, communicates effectively with technicians and service advisors, and can balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and prioritize repair orders based on technician skill level, workload, booked completion times, and dealership procedures.
- Dispatch work efficiently to support shop productivity and timely completion of repairs.
- Monitor repair progress and communicate changes in timing, cost, parts availability, or repair status to the appropriate service advisor.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date repair order and dispatching records.
- Review completed repair orders to confirm that assigned work, technician notes, labor times, and required documentation are complete and accurate.
- Coordinate parts requirements and availability with the parts department.
- Identify and prioritize comeback repairs to ensure prompt and appropriate attention.
- Ensure warranty parts and materials are handled in accordance with manufacturer and dealership procedures.
- Communicate regularly with technicians, service advisors, parts personnel, and service management to address workflow issues.
- Assist with administrative duties and other service department functions as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1+ year of dispatching experience in an automotive service department required
- GM dealership or service experience preferred
- Reynolds & Reynolds experience preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize work, manage interruptions, and handle multiple repair orders in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate repair order documentation
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must have a valid Driver's License and clean/acceptable driving record
- Must be willing to participate in a pre-employment background check and drug screening
