Key Responsibilities

- Customer Interaction: - Greet customers and conduct initial inspections of vehicles to understand issues. - Listen carefully to customer concerns and document them accurately. - Provide explanations and recommendations regarding repairs and maintenance. - Service Coordination: - Schedule service appointments and ensure efficient use of workshop resources. - Coordinate with service technicians to prioritize repairs based on customer needs and workshop capacity. - Follow up with customers during and after service to ensure satisfaction. - Estimation and Quoting: - Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor and parts based on technician assessments and service manuals. - Explain estimates to customers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have. - Documentation and Administrative Tasks: - Create and maintain detailed service records and documentation. - Process invoices and payments accurately. - Manage warranty claims and paperwork as required. - Technical Knowledge and Support: - Stay updated on automotive technology and service trends. - Provide basic technical advice to customers when appropriate. - Customer Education: - Educate customers on maintenance and care requirements to prolong vehicle lifespan. - Recommend preventive maintenance based on vehicle history and manufacturer guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or similar role in the automotive industry. - Strong customer service and communication skills. - Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. - Proficiency in automotive systems and diagnostics. - Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes. - Ability to work well under pressure and resolve conflicts effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with automotive service software and tools. - Sales experience or ability to upsell services and products.

Working Conditions

- Typically works in a dealership or automotive repair shop environment. - May require occasional lifting of heavy objects and prolonged standing.
