About the role
Our Lot Attendants/Porters are responsible for verifying the receipt of new vehicles and conducting thorough damage inspections. They organize and park vehicles in the new vehicle lot in an orderly manner. Additionally, they move and clean vehicles, and ensure used vehicles are maintained in optimal condition. The porters work with the Used Car Manager as needed to support departmental operations.
Responsibilities
- Compare serial numbers of incoming cars against invoice and inspect for damage
- Keep lot organized by moving and parking vehicles where needed per GSM/Sales Dept.
- Catalog and store keys
- Clean interior and exterior of used vehicles, including trunk, glove compartment, tires, windows, etc. as needed
- Start vehicles daily and report any problems or concerns
- Perform light maintenance on vehicles as needed (e.g., replace windshield wiper blades, repair or change tires, replenish fluids, charge gas and batteries, etc.)
- Ensure required forms/stickers have been completed and are properly displayed
- Must be able to work nights and weekends
Qualifications
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Physical ability to use computer hardware/software
- Ability to prioritize
- Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable with company insurance
- Sense of spatial orientation
Pay
Competitive Salary: $19 per hour.
