Automotive Sales Lot Attendant/Porter

About the Role

Sheehy Auto Stores, a 2024 and 2025 Top Workplace in Washington, DC, and Richmond, is seeking a Sales Lot Attendant/Porter to join our team. As the Lot Porter, you will focus on cleaning and moving vehicles around the dealership as needed and assisting Sales Managers as requested. This role involves coordinating with fellow employees to ensure timely deliveries and customer satisfaction. While experience is a plus, it is not required—we provide training to help you build a successful career in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all inventory vehicles are clean and presentable to the public.
• Prepare vehicles for final delivery before sale.
• Place buyer guides and stock tags in cars per Company and government guidelines.
• Drive vehicles to and from the service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.
• Clean driveways and walkways, removing debris, ice, and snow as necessary.
• Make key tags and manage vehicle inventory.
• Ensure all vehicle keys are returned to the appropriate location, cars are locked, windows rolled up, and keys securely stored.
• Follow all company policies and procedures; report any illegal activity to a supervisor.
• Maintain engagement with management, team leads, and fellow team members to foster successful working relationships.
• Communicate immediately with management regarding any concerns or situations that arise.

Requirements

• Able to work flexible schedules, including some weekends.
• Positive attitude, can-do mentality, and eagerness to improve.
• Professional demeanor and ability to deliver best-in-class customer service.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening, Motor Vehicle Records check, and drug test.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
