Position Description

A Sales Consultant for Schumacher Auto Group, guides clients through the vehicle purchasing process, matching them with the right vehicle and building lasting relationships. You would also be responsible for completing and organizing paperwork, ensuring smooth and efficient sales and ultimately, delivering excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities & Essential Job Duties

  • Assist customers through the buying process supported by established selling steps, policies and procedures.
  • Greet and qualify customers by understanding buyers' requirements and interests.
  • Write sales orders and process paperwork in accordance with dealership policies.
  • Utilize dealership sales controls and follow-up systems.
  • Offer test drives to all interested customers and obtain proper identification prior to test drive.
  • Explain product performance, application, and benefits and describe optional equipment for purchase.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction rating at or above Company standards.
  • Sure that the sales manager has an opportunity to meet each customer.
  • Maintain a follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring that each customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
  • Keep abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.
  • Observe all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors.
  • Maintain a professional personal appearance.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Motivated to achieve sales targets and contribute to the dealership's success.
  • Ability to manage multiple leads and tasks effectively.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions with customers and colleagues.
  • Outstanding communication skills in both verbal and written.
  • Positive and outgoing personality with high energy.
  • Eagerness and drive to succeed.
  • Strong work ethic with an upbeat positive attitude.
  • Previous sales experience is a plus (automotive not required).
