Automotive Quality Control Technician/Mechanic - BMW

Responsibilities

• Inspect all work as described on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with BMW factory and Rallye BMW standards
• Examine and test-drive all vehicles to ensure that the cause of vehicle malfunctions, and recommend/perform repairs are completed
• Communicate all discrepancies to the Service Manager, Advisor, or technician
• Road test vehicles as required, or refer to the inspection technician as appropriate
• Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
• Understand and follow Federal, State, and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes
• Maintain the order and cleanliness of the work area; be able to account for all BMW owned tools at all times
• Attend all requested BMW training classes and shop training meetings
• Willing to accept additional or different tasks when circumstances change (e.g., emergencies, changes in personnel, work load, new technologies)

Requirements

• A clean/valid New York State Driver's License required
• NYS inspectors license preferred
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
