Automotive Production Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Production Manager to operate an efficient and profitable service department through productive staff utilization, customer retention, cost controls, achievement of production objectives, and minimizing technician downtime.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch to the shop and monitor multi-point inspection process
• Understand, keep current, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting service-related operations (e.g., hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know)
• Direct and schedule the activities of service department employees
• Monitor technicians' daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business
• Maintain high-quality service repairs and minimize comebacks
• Conduct periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and equivalent work experience
• 5 years of automotive service experience
• 1-3 years of dealership supervisory/management experience
